Petting Zoo On Campus: LBC | Capital Students Enjoy Spring’s New Arrivals

By Juli Martin

On Tuesday, students and staff on the Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School campus had the delight of getting to spend some time with spring’s new arrivals. Around 20 young animals were ready to be petted, including rabbits, guinea pigs, ducklings, piglets, baby goats and chicks. All animals were provided by Party Animalz Farm.

Maddie Wenndt, Caitlin Reichert and Julia Petrie share a fun moment while petting some ducklings.
Students could stop by the petting zoo to get some much needed pet therapy before they enter finals week.
A baby goat takes a liking to Zach Wilson. Some of the baby animals seemed to enjoy the interactions just as much as the students.
Avonlea Stringer and Michael Gardner spend time with the smaller, fluffy bunnies. Fun fact: baby rabbits are called kittens!
Many students exclaimed at the size of this rabbit, aptly named “Godzilla” by its caretakers. Helayna Derby poses with Godzilla.
The smallest of our visitors, these baby chicks, have just hatched, and this little one is ready to take on the world!
The petting zoo brought around a variety of barnyard animals, including some that students may never have had the chance to interact with before, like these piglets.
Nicolas Coutsouridis pays a visit to the guinea pigs. Fun fact: guinea pigs are active for 20 hours of the day!
Many of the animals were spring’s newest arrivals, including this brood of small ducklings.
The baby goats, or “kids,” were a big star of the event, with their sassy attitudes attracting a lot of attention.
